Alliance Boots

Following the merger of Boots and Alliance Pharmacy it was decided to re-brand 900 Alliance Pharmacy stores to a new "Your Local Boots Pharmacy" store format. Rune led the stock management implementation of the largest programme of its kind in the UK and supported integration of the two supply chain functions.


BSkyB wanted to give their customers an improved shopping and more personalised experience on the portal by implementing a new content management system. Nilima worked with the business and technical teams to capture the requirements and provide training to the users of the content management system.

British Telecoms

British Telecoms wanted to provide a better online experience in the account management area of the portal. Working with business and technical teams in London, and liasing with the development off-shore team in India, Nilima helped BT to improve their user journeys in key areas including Fault Tracking. The better online experience resulted in reduced call centre calls.


When Gap Inc. decided to open their first independent head office in Europe they asked our consultant to help with the programme management of this initiative. Rune programme managed more than 20 initiatives and led the implementation of a large integrated training programme for more than 200 new staff in the B&M and Supply Chain functions.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe

With the many PlayStation gaming products, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe had a number of websites. With the launch of the PlayStation 3 console, it was time to launch with a single PlayStation Portal which would satisfy the consumers' needs across Europe. As lead business analyst, Nilima captured the business requirements of European PlayStation Portal and worked with the technical and business teams in an Agile environment to turn the vision into a reality.


The Educational Sector Advisory Team, one of the DANIDA (Danish Agency for Development Assistance) projects, wanted to strengthen their web presence and provide better reporting to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Denmark. Our consultant managed the entire process from requirements gathering and development through to acceptance testing and training of the ESAT website.

Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket

Bhat-Bhateni is a leading hypermarket in Nepal with an impressive growth history over 25 years. The Maharajgunj superstore that opened in September 2008 marked the start of the largest retail expansion programme in Nepal. Qvalla supported Bhat-Bhateni with their growth initiative by introducing new stock management principles and establishing a central purchasing team. The team managed the online work stream to work in alignment with the expansion strategy to shape Bhat-Bhateni supermarket's online presence ( The success of these initiatives has enabled improved stock turnover and availability of key lines, and enhanced the Bhat-Bhateni brand image to customers and suppliers worldwide.

Bluebird Supermarket

Bluebird is a premier departmental store in Kathmandu and the first of its kind to be established in Nepal. Qvalla supported Bluebird with a supplier review to analyse sales and inventory performance. This project identified more than NRs 40 Lakh ($5,500) of savings from underperforming products, a staggering 28% of all stockholding from the leading twenty suppliers. This savings will enable Bluebird to invest in an improved market offering for their customers.

Nepal Development Initiative

Following the successful political transformation from monarchy to republic, Qvalla Ltd engaged with Nepali suppliers and development organisations to kick-start trade led sustainable development. Rune and Nilima supported the market leader in trekking manufacturing, Nepal Tenting & Tarpaulin, by completing a SWOT analysis and created action plan for inventory management, production planning and market offering to enable the business delivered large orders to UNMIN and UNICEF.
